How this works

Type a postal code, address or building name, or tap Near me. The address is looked up on OneMap, the Singapore Land Authority's map service, and then measured against every exit of all 184 operating MRT and LRT stations in LTA's station exit dataset (597 exits). Stations are ranked by their closest exit, not by the middle of the station, because the exit is where your walk ends.

Distances are in a straight line. Walking time is that distance at 80 metres a minute (about 4.8 km/h), so treat it as the shortest possible walk: roads, crossings and overhead bridges usually add a few minutes. The sketch above the list is drawn to scale with north at the top.

Line codes and colours come from LTA's station index (for example NS16 on the North-South Line). Stations that are announced but not yet open, such as Marina South, are left out. Where Lookup has a guide to the area around a station, the station links to it.

FAQs

How do I find the nearest MRT station to my address?

Enter your 6-digit postal code above. For example, Block 406 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 (560406) is nearest to Ang Mo Kio station (NS16): Exit A is about 940 m away in a straight line, roughly a 12-minute walk. Bishan is the next nearest, about 1.3 km away.

Which MRT exit is closest to ION Orchard?

Exit 5 of Orchard station (NS22, TE14), under 10 m from ION Orchard's address point; Orchard has 13 exits, more than any other station in LTA's exit data. Somerset (Exit B, about 800 m) and Great World (Exit 5, about 840 m) are the next nearest.

How long does it take to walk 1 km in Singapore?

About 12 to 13 minutes at an easy 80 metres a minute, which is the pace this tool uses. Real routes follow roads, crossings and overhead bridges, so they are longer than the straight line this tool measures: allow a few extra minutes.

How many MRT and LRT stations are there in Singapore?

184, in LTA's fare calculator station index as of October 2026, including 38 served only by the Bukit Panjang, Sengkang or Punggol LRT. Interchanges such as Dhoby Ghaut (NS24, NE6, CC1) count once.
