Primary Schools Within 1km & 2km of Your Home

Free · No sign-up · Updated October 2026
Check which primary schools are within 1km and 2km of any Singapore address for Primary 1 registration priority. Uses MOE school addresses and straight-line distance, the same basis MOE uses.

How this works

We geocode your postal code with OneMap (Singapore Land Authority) and measure the straight-line distance to each primary school’s address point, using MOE’s official school list.

MOE’s P1 registration priority is based on the distance between your home address point and the school’s land boundary, as computed by SLA. Because a school’s boundary is closer to you than its address point, our figure is conservative: schools we show within 1km will be within 1km officially, and schools just outside may still qualify.

Always confirm with the official OneMap SchoolQuery service before registration.

FAQs

How is the 1km and 2km distance measured for P1 registration?

MOE uses the home-school distance computed by the Singapore Land Authority: the straight-line distance from your home’s address point to the school’s land boundary. Homes within 1km get priority over those within 2km, which get priority over those beyond 2km, within each registration phase.

Is this checker official?

No. It uses official MOE and OneMap data but measures to each school’s address point, which can overstate the distance slightly. Use it to shortlist schools, then confirm on OneMap’s SchoolQuery before registering.

Does distance matter in every P1 phase?

Distance is used to prioritise applicants when a phase is oversubscribed: Singapore citizens living within 1km go first, then 1–2km, then beyond 2km. Ballots are held among applicants in the same category when places run out.
