Singapore's tourism sector has moved from pandemic recovery to record highs. This page collects the headline figures published by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), with the source named for each. Figures are rounded as reported.

Visitor arrivals

  • 2022: international visitor arrivals were 6.3 million, the first full year after borders reopened, according to STB.
  • 2025: STB data shows 16.9 million international visitor arrivals, about 2.3% more than in 2024. This was below STB's earlier forecast of 17.0 to 18.5 million, as reported by GGRAsia.
  • 2026 outlook: STB forecasts 17 to 18 million visitor arrivals for 2026.

Tourism receipts

  • 2022: STB reported visitors spent between S$13.8 billion and S$14.3 billion, about half of 2019's receipts.
  • January to September 2025: tourism receipts reached S$23.9 billion, up 6.5% on the same period in 2024, a record for that period according to STB. Full-year 2025 receipts were due to be released in the second quarter of 2026.
  • 2026 outlook: STB forecasts S$31.0 billion to S$32.5 billion in receipts.

Top visitor markets

In 2025, the largest source markets were mainland China (3.1 million), Indonesia (2.4 million), Malaysia (1.3 million), Australia (1.3 million) and India (1.2 million). Indonesia was the only one of the top five to decline, by roughly 2%.

What the numbers mean for local businesses

Visitor arrivals are now well above the pre-2020 recovery period, and spending is rising faster than arrivals. For hotels, restaurants, attractions and retailers, that means demand is driven by a wider mix of source markets than a few years ago, with mainland China the largest. STB's own releases are the best place to check updated figures, as full-year receipts are revised once final data is published.
