How to Get to Merlion Park by MRT, Bus and Taxi

How to reach Merlion Park at One Fullerton: Raffles Place MRT and other nearby stations, buses to Fullerton Square, and taxi drop-off points.

Nearest stations to Merlion Park: Raffles Place MRT (490 m), Esplanade MRT (720 m), Bayfront MRT (740 m). Straight-line distances; walking routes are longer.

Merlion Park is at One Fullerton, in front of The Fullerton Hotel and overlooking Marina Bay. It is open to the public and free to visit. Several MRT stations are within walking distance, so the train is usually the easiest way in. Bus routes and exits change, so check LTA or a live transport app before you travel.

By MRT

  • Raffles Place (NS26/EW14) on the North-South and East-West lines is the usual choice. Follow the signs for One Fullerton and walk towards the river mouth past The Fullerton Hotel. Community station guides point to Exit H (Bonham Street) for Merlion Park, but check the signs in the station.
  • Downtown (DT17) on the Downtown Line is another short walk away.
  • Esplanade (CC3) on the Circle Line is across the Esplanade Bridge from the park.
  • Marina Bay (NS27/CE2/TE20) and Bayfront (CE1/DT16) work if you are combining the visit with Marina Bay Sands or the waterfront promenade. See our guide to getting to Marina Bay Sands.

By bus

The closest stop is Fullerton Sq (03011) on Fullerton Road. LTA bus route data lists services there including 10, 57, 70, 100, 107, 130, 131, 167 and 196. The Esplanade Bridge (02111) stop on Esplanade Drive is served by most of the same routes.

Some services run only on weekdays or at peak hours, so confirm the route and stop on LTA, SBS Transit or SMRT before you go.

By taxi, Grab or private hire

Ask to be dropped at The Fullerton Hotel or One Fullerton, both a short walk from the statue, and use the drop-off point your ride-hailing app offers.

  • Raffles Place and Boat Quay, along the river, are a few minutes' walk away for lunch.
  • The Esplanade, Marina Bay Sands and the Marina Bay waterfront promenade are all walkable from the park.
