How to Get to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) by MRT, Bus and Taxi

Nearest stations to Marina Bay Sands: Bayfront MRT (250 m), Raffles Place MRT (860 m), Downtown MRT (880 m). Straight-line distances; walking routes are longer.

Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is the integrated resort with the hotel, casino, the Shoppes, the Sands Expo and the SkyPark. The easiest way in is by MRT, since the resort links directly to Bayfront station. Check LTA or a live transport app before you go, as bus routes and stops change.

By MRT

Bayfront station (CE1/DT16) is on the Circle Line and the Downtown Line and connects to MBS. Exit E leads towards the Sands Expo and Convention Centre; Exits C and D lead to the hotel and the Shoppes.

Marina Bay station (NS27/CE2/TE20) is a further option. It is on the North-South, Circle and Thomson-East Coast lines, and is useful if you are coming from the Thomson-East Coast Line, which now runs from Woodlands North through the city to Bayshore (the Bayshore stage opened in June 2024). From Marina Bay you can change to the Circle Line for one stop to Bayfront, or walk through the Marina Bay waterfront area.

Gardens by the Bay (TE22) on the same line is the stop for the gardens, a short walk from MBS.

By bus

Venue guides list services including 97, 106, 133, 502 and 518 on Bayfront Avenue, with late-night NR services on some nights. Stops sit outside the hotel towers and near the Expo. Routes and weekday-only variants change, so confirm the service and stop on LTA, SBS Transit or SMRT before you travel.

By taxi, Grab or private hire

Marina Bay Sands has taxi stands at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre and at the casino, with drop-off points at the hotel towers and the Expo. Tell your driver the hotel tower or entrance you want, since the resort is large.

From Changi Airport, the drive is roughly 20 minutes along the East Coast Parkway, depending on traffic.

Tips for visiting

  • Check the website first for events, show times and attraction opening hours.
  • Expect crowds at weekends and in the evenings. Arriving earlier helps.
  • Check the dress code for the casino and some restaurants.
  • Explore beyond the resort: Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park are nearby.
