How to choose a health screening centre

  • Start with Screen for Life if you are a citizen: it covers the screenings national guidelines recommend for your age, for $0–5.
  • Before paying for an executive package, ask which extra tests match your risk factors. Broad tumour-marker panels and CT scans often produce false alarms in people without symptoms.
  • Make sure a doctor reviews your results with you; a printed report alone is not enough.
  • Compare what is included, such as fasting blood tests, ECG, ultrasound and doctor review, not just the headline price.

Red flags

  • Packages sold mainly on the number of tests, with no doctor consultation to explain the results.
  • Time-limited discounts or free gifts used to push packages. SMC's Ethical Code bars doctors from these inducements.
  • Pressure to book follow-up procedures on the spot after an abnormal marker.

Questions about health screening in Singapore

How much is a full body check-up in Singapore?

As of June 2026, basic private packages cost about $40–150, mid-tier packages $250–700, and executive packages $1,000 or more (some hospital packages exceed $3,000). Hospital entry packages started at about $248–398. Eligible citizens can get nationally recommended screening for $0–5 under Screen for Life, which includes a follow-up consultation.

What does Screen for Life cover?

Blood pressure from age 18; blood glucose and cholesterol, generally from 40 or earlier if at higher risk; a FIT kit for colorectal cancer yearly from 50; cervical screening (Pap smear every three years from 25 to 29, then HPV test every five years from 30); and mammograms every two years from 50 to 69, priced separately. It does not include CT, ultrasound or tumour markers.

Is health screening free with Healthier SG?

Yes, for nationally recommended screenings at your enrolled Healthier SG clinic: enrollees pay $0. Pioneer Generation seniors also pay $0, Merdeka Generation and CHAS Blue or Orange cardholders $2, and other eligible citizens $5. Permanent Residents are not eligible for these citizen rates.

Do I need an executive health screening?

Not usually. National screening covers the conditions with the strongest evidence for early detection. Extra tests such as CT scans, treadmill tests and tumour markers make sense for specific risk factors or symptoms, so discuss your family history with a doctor before paying for a large package.
