Yes. Since 1 July 2024, couples can file for divorce by mutual agreement as a ground for showing the marriage has irretrievably broken down, without alleging adultery, unreasonable behaviour or separation. You must still have been married for at least three years, unless the court allows an earlier filing on grounds of exceptional hardship.
Singapore citizens and PRs can apply to the Legal Aid Bureau. From 1 October 2026, average per capita gross monthly household income must be $1,650 or lower. Your home's annual value must be $21,000 or less, savings must be under $12,000 ($42,000 if aged 60 or above), and a merits test applies. You may need to pay a contribution.
It is a faster, lower-cost track where both spouses agree on the divorce and on all ancillary matters, including custody, care and control, maintenance and division of assets. Papers are filed together and usually processed without a contested hearing. If you agree on the divorce but not on ancillary matters, you can file uncontested but it will not be treated as simplified.
