## How this works
Since 1 April 2025, PUB's domestic water price is S$3.24 per m³ before GST for the first 40 m³ a month: the water tariff (S$1.43), the Water Conservation Tax (S$0.72, 50% of the tariff) and the Waterborne Tax (S$1.09). Water above 40 m³ a month costs S$4.39 per m³: tariff S$1.81, Water Conservation Tax S$1.18 (65%) and Waterborne Tax S$1.40.

GST at 9% is charged on the whole water price, including both taxes, so the first 40 m³ costs about S$3.53 per m³ and the rest about S$4.79 per m³. The bill is the m³ in each tier × its price, plus GST.

Typical usage is SP Group's national average by home type, averaged over September 2025 to August 2026 (15.0 m³ a month for an HDB 4-room flat). The shower saver multiplies people × minutes saved × the shower head's flow rate × 30 days, using PUB's water efficiency label bands (1 tick up to 9 litres a minute, 2 ticks up to 7, 3 ticks 5 or less). The optional electricity saving assumes water warmed from about 28°C to 40°C.
