## How this works
One foot is exactly 0.3048 metres, so one square metre is 1 ÷ 0.3048² = 10.7639 square feet, and one square foot is 0.0929 square metres. To go from sq ft to m², divide by 10.7639; to go from m² to sq ft, multiply by 10.7639.

Prices work the other way round: a price per square foot (psf) times 10.7639 gives the price per square metre (psm). A S$1,500 psf condo is S$16,146 psm. Private property in Singapore is usually marketed in sq ft, while HDB quotes flat sizes in m².

Typical HDB sizes are the median floor areas of resale flats sold from October 2025 to September 2026 (HDB resale data on data.gov.sg), and the estimated floor areas of new flats in HDB's February 2025 BTO launch, which include the air-conditioner ledge.

### How many square feet is 1 square metre?
1 square metre is 10.7639 square feet, so 100 m² is about 1,076 sq ft and 1,000 sq ft is about 92.9 m².

### How big is a 4-room HDB flat in square feet?
A typical resale 4-room HDB flat is 93 m², about 1,001 sq ft (median of resale flats sold from October 2025 to September 2026). New 4-room BTO flats in HDB's February 2025 launch were 89 to 96 m², about 958 to 1,033 sq ft.

### How big is a 3-room and a 5-room HDB flat?
A typical resale 3-room flat is 67 m² (about 721 sq ft) and a 5-room flat 116 m² (about 1,249 sq ft). Executive flats, no longer built, are around 146 m² (about 1,572 sq ft).

### How do I convert psf to psm?
Multiply the price per square foot by 10.7639. For example, S$1,500 psf is S$16,146 per square metre, and S$7,000 psm is S$650 psf.
