## How this works
MediSave pays what is left of a bill after government subsidies and MediShield Life, up to a withdrawal limit set by the Ministry of Health for each type of care. The checker uses MOH's published limits (inpatient, outpatient and long-term care pages, checked October 2026). Anything above the limit is paid in cash, or by an Integrated Shield Plan if you have one.

Hospital stays at acute hospitals: up to S$1,130 a day for the first two days and S$400 a day from the third day, plus a surgical limit for any operation, from S$240 (TOSP Table 1A) to S$5,290 (Table 7C). Day surgery: S$830 a day plus the surgical limit. Community hospitals: S$250 a day. Delivery uses the same hospital and surgical limits plus S$900 for pre-delivery care. Assisted conception: S$6,000, S$5,000 and S$4,000 for the first, second and later cycles, up to S$15,000 in a lifetime.

Outpatient: S$500 a year under MediSave500 for chronic conditions, approved vaccinations and screenings (S$700 for complex chronic conditions), rising to S$700 and S$1,000 from 1 January 2027. Patients 60 and above get a further S$400 a year under Flexi-MediSave. Outpatient scans: S$600 a year. Dialysis: S$450 a month. Integrated Shield premiums: S$300, S$600 or S$900 a year depending on age next birthday, on top of MediShield Life premiums, which MediSave pays in full.

The Basic Healthcare Sum for 2026 is S$79,000: the most you can hold in MediSave, not a spending limit. You can also use the MediSave of your spouse, parents and children, and of grandparents and siblings who are citizens or PRs.
