## How this works
Everything runs in your browser. The images are read from your device, assembled into a PDF by the open-source pdf-lib library on this page, and saved straight back to your downloads. Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe for NRIC scans, payslips, medical letters and other documents you would rather not send to a stranger's server.

Each image becomes one page, in the order shown. On A4 (210 × 297 mm) or US Letter pages the image is scaled to fit inside the margin and centred, without stretching or cropping; Auto orientation turns the page sideways for landscape photos. Fit to image makes each page the same shape as its photo.

JPG and PNG files are placed in the PDF as they are, so there is no quality loss. WebP and HEIC images, rotated images and phone photos with a rotation tag are redrawn as high-quality JPG first. The Make the PDF smaller option scales photos down to 2,000 pixels on the long side and re-saves them at 80% JPG quality, which can cut a phone-photo PDF to a fraction of its size.

HEIC (the iPhone photo format) opens only where the browser can decode it, which today means Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac. In Chrome or Edge, convert HEIC photos to JPG first or switch the iPhone camera to Most Compatible.

## FAQs
### Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is made on your device by code running in this page, and the images never leave your browser. Your browser's network panel will show that no image is sent anywhere.

### How do I combine several JPGs into one PDF?
Add all the images at once (or a few at a time), drag them into the order you want or use the arrow buttons, then press Convert to PDF. Each image becomes one page of a single PDF file.

### Will the PDF be A4?
Yes, A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the default, with a 10 mm margin. You can switch to US Letter, remove the margin, or choose Fit to image so each page matches the photo's shape.

### Why is my PDF so large?
Phone photos are often 3 MB to 5 MB each, and the PDF keeps them at full quality. Turn on Make the PDF smaller to scale them to 2,000 pixels and re-save at 80% quality. In our test, a PDF of four large images went from 10 MB to under 1 MB.

### Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos to PDF?
Yes in Safari on iPhone, iPad or Mac, which can read HEIC. Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows and Android can't decode HEIC, so convert them to JPG first or set iPhone Settings > Camera > Formats to Most Compatible.
