# IPPT Calculator: Score, Award and Points Table

IPPT score from push-ups, sit-ups and 2.4km run using the SAF tables for all 14 age groups, with your award, NSmen cash incentive and points to Gold.

## How this works
The IPPT has three stations: push-ups (1 minute, up to 25 points), sit-ups (1 minute, up to 25 points) and a 2.4km run (up to 50 points). Each station is scored from the SAF scoring tables for servicemen, which have 14 age groups: under 22, then three-year bands from 22 to 24 up to 58 to 60. This calculator uses those tables in full, as in force since the three-station IPPT started on 1 April 2015.

Run times are read against the table rows in 10-second steps, where each row means that time or faster: 12:01 to 12:10 scores the 12:10 row. Push-ups and sit-ups above the table maximum (60 for under-22s, fewer for older groups) score the full 25 points.

Awards follow the total: Gold at 85 points (90 for Commando, Diver and Guards), Silver at 75, Pass with Incentive at 61 and Pass at 51 for NSmen. Active servicemen (NSFs and regulars) pass at 61. You need at least 1 point at every station to qualify. NSmen receive S$500 for Gold, S$300 for Silver and S$200 for Pass with Incentive, topped up if a later attempt in the same window scores a higher award.

## FAQs
### How many points do I need for IPPT Gold?
85 points out of 100 for Gold, or 90 for Commando, Diver and Guards personnel. Silver is 75, Pass with Incentive is 61 and Pass is 51 for NSmen, with at least 1 point at each station.

### How much is the IPPT cash award for NSmen?
S$500 for Gold, S$300 for Silver and S$200 for Pass with Incentive. A Pass (51 to 60 points) earns no cash. If you improve on a later attempt in the same window, MINDEF tops the incentive up to the higher award.

### What 2.4km run time gets 50 points?
8:30 or faster for under-22s, 8:40 for 22 to 24, 8:50 for 25 to 27, 9:10 for 28 to 30, and so on up to 10:50 for 58 to 60. Each 10 seconds slower costs roughly a point near the top of the table.

### How many push-ups do I need for full marks?
60 push-ups in a minute for under-22s, 59 for 22 to 24, 58 for 25 to 27, down to 40 for the 58 to 60 age group. Sit-ups follow a similar pattern, from 60 down to 42.

### What does a 25-year-old need for Silver?
Any mix that adds up to 75 points. For example, 35 push-ups (19 points), 38 sit-ups (20 points) and a 12:00 run (35 points) total 74, one point short of Silver. Any one of these lifts it to 75: an 11:40 run (36 points), 38 push-ups (20 points) or 42 sit-ups (21 points).
