## How this works
SP Group's regulated electricity tariff for households from 1 October to 31 December 2026 is 28.59 cents per kWh before GST, or 31.16 cents with 9% GST. It is down 3.32 cents (10.4%) from 31.91 cents in July to September 2026. The tariff is made up of energy costs (22.18 cents), network costs (6.10 cents), market support services (0.23 cents) and market administration and power system operator fees (0.08 cents).

Your bill is kWh used × 28.59 cents, plus 9% GST. Typical usage comes from SP Group's national averages by home type, taken as the average of the twelve months from September 2025 to August 2026 (for example 357 kWh a month for an HDB 4-room flat).

The appliance builder multiplies each appliance's power in watts by its hours of use per day and 30 days. The wattages are typical assumptions shown on screen; replace them with the rating on your own appliances. Open Electricity Market plans are compared on the same kWh, at the before-GST price you enter, plus GST.

## FAQs
### What is the electricity tariff in Singapore for October to December 2026?
The SP Group regulated tariff is 31.16 cents per kWh including 9% GST (28.59 cents before GST) from 1 October to 31 December 2026, a 10.4% drop from the previous quarter's 34.78 cents with GST.

### How much is the electricity bill for a 4-room HDB flat?
About S$111.25 a month at the October to December 2026 tariff, based on SP Group's 12-month average of 357 kWh for HDB 4-room households. A 3-room flat averages 258 kWh (about S$80.40) and a 5-room flat 420 kWh (about S$130.89).

### How do I calculate my electricity bill?
Multiply the kWh on your bill by the tariff and add GST: 357 kWh × S$0.2859 = S$102.07, plus 9% GST = S$111.25. An appliance uses watts × hours ÷ 1,000 kWh, so a 100 W TV on for 4 hours a day uses 12 kWh a month.

### Is an Open Electricity Market plan cheaper than SP's tariff?
It depends on the price and the quarter. For 357 kWh a month, a fixed price of 26 cents per kWh before GST costs S$101.17 a month with GST, S$10.08 less than SP's regulated tariff this quarter. Fixed prices stay put for the contract, so they can end up dearer when the regulated tariff falls.
