A basic groom for a small dog in Singapore costs from about $30, and a full groom from about $50–75. Mobile and premium salons charge $100 or more. Grooming alone does not need an AVS licence, but groomers that also board pets need an AVS pet boarding licence, and groomers inside pet shops follow pet shop licence conditions.

## How to choose
- Ask whether the groomer has handled your breed and coat type, especially double-coated breeds, which generally should not be shaved.
- Check how pets are dried; cage dryers need constant supervision to avoid overheating.
- Ask whether sedation is ever used. It should only be given by a vet, never by a groomer.
- If the groomer also offers boarding or daycare, check them on AVS's licensed pet boarding registry.
