- Ask whether the gym is CaseTrust-accredited for fitness centres, which requires prepayments to be protected. Most gyms are not, so check the CASE register yourself.
- Read the cancellation, freeze and relocation clauses before signing. Ask for the notice period, any early-termination fee, and whether a medical certificate or overseas posting lets you exit.

Generally no. Singapore's statutory cooling-off period covers direct sales made away from the business's premises and timeshare contracts, not memberships you sign at the gym.
