- **Household Services Scheme (HSS) company** (Ministry of Manpower (MOM), optional): Lets companies employ migrant workers to provide part-time household services such as home cleaning. - Offers from a foreign domestic worker to clean on her rest day. It is an offence for her and for you, even with her employer's consent.
- Cash-only freelance cleaners recruited through Viber, WhatsApp or Facebook groups who cannot show a company or work pass.
- Post-renovation quotes with no scope list, which often leads to add-on charges on the day.
- No named company, UEN or way to raise a complaint if something is damaged or goes missing.

### Is it legal to hire someone else's maid for part-time cleaning?
No. MOM states it is an offence for a foreign domestic worker to take part-time work, with or without her employer's consent.
