# How to Get to Sentosa by Sentosa Express, Cable Car, Bus and on Foot

> How to reach Sentosa: HarbourFront MRT and the Sentosa Express from VivoCity, the free Sentosa Boardwalk, the cable car, bus 123, and driving in.

Sentosa is linked to the mainland at HarbourFront, so almost every route starts at [VivoCity](/blog/how-to-get-to-vivocity) or HarbourFront MRT. From there you can take the monorail, walk across the Sentosa Boardwalk, ride the cable car or stay on a bus or car. Fares and opening hours change, so check Sentosa Development Corporation, LTA or the operators before you travel.

## Getting to HarbourFront

Take the MRT to **HarbourFront (NE1/CC29)** on the North East Line and Circle Line. The station is directly connected to VivoCity, where the Sentosa Express and the Boardwalk start. See our guide to [getting to VivoCity](/blog/how-to-get-to-vivocity) for bus routes to the mall.

## Sentosa Express (monorail)

The Sentosa Express runs from **VivoCity station** (Level 3 of VivoCity) to three stations on the island: **Resorts World**, **Imbiah** and **Beach**. The whole line takes about eight minutes.

- **Fare:** the trip from VivoCity onto the island is widely reported at **S$4**, with a S$2 concession rate, and this covers your island admission. Travel within Sentosa and the trip back to the mainland are free.
- **Paying:** tap an EZ-Link or other CEPAS card, or a contactless bank card, at the VivoCity faregates.
- **Hours:** first and last trains are reported at about 7am and midnight.

The Government announced in March 2026 that the Sentosa Express will eventually be replaced by a new people-mover through Pulau Brani under the Greater Sentosa Master Plan. Nothing changes for visitors yet.

## Walk the Sentosa Boardwalk

The Sentosa Boardwalk is a covered walkway with travellators running from VivoCity across the water to the Beach station area. Walking in is free. Guides put the walk at roughly 10 to 15 minutes, longer if you stop along the way.

## Cable car

The Singapore Cable Car's **Mount Faber Line** runs from **Mount Faber** via **HarbourFront** to **Sentosa (Imbiah)**, and the separate **Sentosa Line** links Siloso Point with Sensoryscape on the island. It is a paid attraction with its own tickets and hours, so check Mount Faber Leisure Group before you go.

## By bus

**Service 123** runs from Bukit Merah Interchange through Orchard Road, Havelock and Tiong Bahru to **Resorts World Sentosa** and **Beach Station**, according to LTA bus route data. You pay the normal bus fare. Inside the island, Sentosa's own buses and trams are free to ride.

## By car, taxi or private hire

You can drive or take a taxi or Grab onto the island over the Sentosa Gateway. Vehicles pay an entry charge at the gantry that varies by time of day, and parking on the island is charged separately. Check Sentosa's current rates before you drive.

*Fares, hours and routes may change. Check Sentosa, LTA or the operators for the latest details.*
